Goose Hollow is NOT a university building. It is a private apartment complex... in no way affiliated with the PSU network. See these pages for PSU p2p info: http://www.uss.pdx.edu/bin/article.php?article=353 and http://www.oit.pdx.edu/dmca/

Heh, well College Housing Northwest manages networking for off campus student housing I believe. The last I heard was that there was a T1 serving all of Goose Hollow (no idea if this is still the case though), so I suppose I can understand their need to rate limit. The keyword filtering seems unnecessary though. We do shape traffic for on campus housing, but it's only for P2P, and we have a much larger pipe to the internet....

Hah...I should've guessed; the only way that the whole silly situation could get more ridiculous would be if this were a "Goose-Hollow-only" policy - and it definitely doesn't surprise me that it appears to be.

Hi,
I work in Networking and Telecom at PSU and I can confirm that the page you are seeing is not something that we are responsible for. We manage the network for all buildings on campus, such as Epler Hall, Broadway Housing, etc;. We do not manage networking for any buildings that are off campus, such as Goose Hollow Plaza/Tower. It is not in any way our policy to save anyone from themselves :).
